This Thanksgiving was special as usual because it is the one time of year many of us see each other. The week before is filled with last minute shopping, plans and lots of travel across the country. By Wednesday night everyone has arrived and is ready for the busy weekend.
Thanksgiving day kicked off with almost everyone participating in the Dana Point Turkey Trot 5K Race. With matching t-shirt the whole group headed down to the harbor and spent the morning enjoying the beautiful weather while completing (or watching) the race. After returning home there was the Wii Bowling Tournament while the three turkeys cooked. After dinner the agenda for the rest of the weekend was handed out.
Friday was kicked off with breakfast at Ruby's and then on to the Amtrak train to San Diego, much to the delight of the grandkids. There we spent the afternoon sightseeing and shopping with lunch and a gift exchange at Seaport Village before the train ride home.
Saturday was horseback riding, cooking class and a magic show before people started to head home.
It was a wonderful time together and something to really be thankful for.
