As usual, our family started to make plans to get together for the Thanksgiving holiday when it became apparent that Jimmy and Salime would most likely not be able to travel from their home in Chicago to join all of us at Petersonville for our traditional family get together. They are expecting their baby boy to be born the first week in January and it was getting to close to the delivery date for Salime to be taking a long flight, so we decided that we would all join them for Thanksgiving in Chicago!
We rented a large home near Old Town Chicago for a week and started arriving the week before. Harry joined us from Phoenix and Jim's sister, Betty and her husband Nick and son Tommy with his girlfriend, Christine all came from New York. That was a real treat because we had never shared a holiday with all of them for a long time.
It was the first time Oliver had met his extended family from New York, too.
Travis's friend Elna also came from New York which made a total of 15 of us for Thanksgiving 2006 in Chicago!
